Position Title: Van Driver - Part-time

Reports to: Recreation Department

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt




VAN DRIVER JOB SUMMARY:

The Van Driver operates the shuttle bus or van to transport elderly and/or disabled residents to and from their destinations, such as doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and other shopping destinations. The Van Driver is responsible for maintaining vehicles to ensure cleanliness and safe usage. The Van Driver may also perform other tasks for the Recreation Department on an as-needed basis. Work of the Van Driver is performed under the limited supervision of the General Office Clerk. The Van Driver schedule is typically Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM until 4 PM. Occasional evenings may be required for adult and senior trips. The full Van Driver job description is available here.


REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VAN DRIVER:

The Van Driver must possess a high school diploma or GED required and minimal experience driving passenger vehicles, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement required. The Van Driver position is considered "safety-sensitive" and is therefore subject to DOT workplace drug and alcohol testing.
